Rusty Jack Jenkins

Rusty Jack Jenkins, 64, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, June 07, 2022 at his home.

He was born in McDowell County on September 20, 1957 to the late Sarah Thomas Hollifield.

Rusty attended Grandview Baptist Church and will be remembered for his great love for Jesus. He enjoyed working in his yard and swinging on his porch. He was very patriotic and had a love for the flag and eagles. His family was important to him, and he liked visiting with them.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his children, Rusty Jacob Jenkins and Rebecca Lee Jenkins; and a brother, James Jenkins.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Kayla Jenkins; two grandchildren, Serenity Jenkins and Charity Jenkins; a brother, Homer Jenkins; a sister, Lucy Jenkins; and two half-sisters, Ruby Hollifield and Della Hollifield.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Muddy Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel McMahan officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Following the service, Rusty will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
