Russell Brownlow Hensley

Russell Brownlow Hensley, 88, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away at Autumn Care of Marion on Thursday, February 03, 2022.

He was born in Unicoi County Tennessee on June 13, 1933 to the late Silas Hensley and Martha Blankenship Hensley.

Russell was a jack of all trades who could engineer anything. He enjoyed hunting and was a hard worker. Russell was a very loving man and a good Christian man as well who was ready to go Home.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty R. Hensley; six siblings; and two great-great grandchildren.

He is survived by three children, Douglas Hensley (Carolyn), Pastor Dennis Hensley (Gail), and Randy Hensley (Marlen); one brother, Rex Hensley; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 06, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Dennis Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.

Burial will be on Monday, February 07, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at McDowell Memorial Park.
