Mrs. Ruby McPeeters Revis went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2017, at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital. A native of McDowell County, she was born on January 23, 1937, to the late Charles Arthur McPeeters and Bertha Silver McPeeters.
Mrs. Revis was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved her animals. Now she is resting with the Lord and no more suffering.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ray L. Revis, who passed away in 2013, as well as a brother, Carl McPeeters.
She leaves behind four children, Cheryl R. Roper, Tim Revis (Tina), Alan Revis, and Gary Revis (Debbie); a brother, Walter McPeeters (Crystal), and a sister, Doris Morgan; She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Whitney Roper, Grason Revis, Kacy Revis, Dawn Revis, Brandon Revis (Wiley), Kristin DeMotta (Chad), Caroline Barnes (Cliff), and Gary Ray Revis; as well as five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Ruby’s life will be held on Friday June 9, 2017 at Hankins Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Danny White officiating. Interment will follow at Silver Cemetery in Old Fort. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the church.
