Ruby McFalls

Ruby McFalls, age 84, of Old Fort, NC, surrounded by her loving family and friends, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at her residence.  Born in Mitchell County, NC on July 18, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Nola Rose Buchanan.  She was preceded in death by her husband S. B. McFalls and one son, Douglas McFalls.

Ruby is survived by three children, Brenda Hughes and her husband, Bobby, Michael McFalls and his wife, Connie and Angie Shell and her husband, Danny; seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. McFalls will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Brookside Baptist Church in Old Fort with Rev. Steve Bugenhagen, Jr. and Rev. Charles Duyck officiating.  Interment will follow at Piney Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the church.
