Roy Lynn Rabb

Roy Lynn Rabb, 84, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital.

He was born in Cleveland County on August 27, 1936 to the late John Rabb and Mable Wease Rabb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Arbeth Rabb.

Roy retired from Verizon in 1991 and then from Walker & Associates in 2003. A member of Shining Light Baptist Church, he truly loved his Lord, family, and country. He was a proud retiree of the United States Air Force in 1975. Roy enjoyed golfing, bowling, and fishing with his grandchildren. Roy ran his course and kept the faith, and he will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Millie Williams Rabb; three children, Rhonda Rabb Carswell (Eric), Dona Rabb Berry (Jeffrey), and Teresa Rabb Marlowe (Gary); four grandchildren, Callie Rabb Gray, Lindsey Taylor Eversoll (David), Eric Wesson Carswell, and Roy Rabb Carswell; one great grandchild, Dawson Eversoll; and one brother, Clyde Rabb.

A funeral service with full military honors will be held on Monday, February 01, 2021 at Shining Light Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Danny Castle officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. A private interment will be held on Tuesday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bus Ministry at Shining Light Baptist Church.
