Roy Alfred Burgin

Roy Alfred Burgin, 69, of Old Fort, passed away at Mission Hospital in Asheville on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

Roy was born in McDowell County on May 25, 1954 to the late Roy Burgin and the late Sarah Nelson Burgin. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Angel English.

Roy was a self-employed rock mason who will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

He is survived by his two step children, Kyle and Matthew Croom; brother, Fred Burgin (Kathy); his two sisters, Shirley Arrowood and Barbara Walker; three grandchildren, Brooke English, Tristan English, and Skylar Carpenter (Logan) and eleven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Hebron Wesleyan Church of Old Fort on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.
