Ronald "Ronnie" Wilford Scott

Ronald Wilford Scott, also known as Ronnie, age 66, of Spindale, North Carolina passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Rutherford Medical Hospital. A native of Nebo, Ronnie was born on December 16, 1954 to the late James Scott and Odie Withrow Scott.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joann Aiken Scott, a brother, James Willie Scott, Jr. and sister, Oretha Scott.

Ronnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle to his family. He worked in textile mills for most of his life and loved to work on cars. To this day people talk about how he could fix a car in no time. He enjoyed fishing and going to the race track. If you knew Ronnie, you would like him or you didn’t and the same went with him. But the love that he had for his son and grandsons was felt by anyone that knew him.

Ronnie leaves to cherish his fond memories, son Ronald “Scottie” Scott (Nikki) and two grandsons, Demani and Cameran Scott; sister, Violet Freeman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Herman King officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. John AME Church Cemetery.
