Ronald Glenn Hollifield

Ronald Glenn Hollifield, 63, of Marion, suddenly went to be with the Lord at Mission Hospital in Asheville on Monday, July 8, 2024. 

Ronald was born on September 5, 1960 in McDowell County to the late Robert Grayson Hollifield and the late Zelma Alice Ward Hollifield. 

He retired from the city of Marion following fourteen years of service. Ronald loved his Lord and Savior. He enjoyed fishing and shooting pool and was known for helping others in need. He mostly loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Ronald is survived by his wife, Belinda Finley Hollifield; his four children, Jason Hollifield (Robin), James “J.R.” Hollifield (Kristy), Kristen Hollifield and Rebecca Chany (Garrett); his siblings, Bobby Hollifield (Kristin), Kathy Ledford (Alvin) and Terry Hollifield, Sr.; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren and special friends, Keith Cook and Ray Roland. 

A memorial service will take place on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with the Rev. Denny Wilson officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 at the funeral home.
