Roger Dale Yelton

Roger Dale Yelton, 74, of Nebo, departed this life on Monday, October 23, 2023.

He was born in Mitchell County on May 7, 1949 to the late James Yelton and Irene Mosley Yelton. Roger was a member of Ridgeway Free Will Baptist Church. He was passionate about the outdoors and spent a lot of time hunting and trout fishing. He was a fan of Westerns. Roger worked many years at GE and later worked in the heating and air industry. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Duvall, Louvella Yelton, and Maxine Janice Ollis; and one brother, Farrell Yelton.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Yelton; two sons, Russell Dale Yelton and Roy Curtis Yelton; two brothers, George Yelton (Alice) and J.D. Yelton; and his former spouse, Beverly McKinney Yelton.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service.

The funeral service will take place on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Free Will Baptist Church with Revs. Mike Mathis and Gary Shew officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
