Roger Allen Guffey

Mr. Roger Allen Guffey, age 62, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at UNC Health care in Morganton. He is the son of the late Frank Guffey and Nellie Guffey Davis. Roger was preceded in death by one brother Randy Guffey.

Roger loved playing the drums. He enjoyed entertaining at many different events. Roger loved his family and many friends. He will be missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his fiancé of eighteen years Judy H. Pyatt; two children Rachel McCormick (Jason) and Josh Guffey; one step-son who he taught to play the drums Shannon Pyatt (Leah) siblings, Ron Guffey (Barbara), Raymond Guffey (Avey), Ritchie Guffey (Jacqueline) and Russell Guffey. Roger is also survived by two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service.
