Rodney Wayne Morgan

July 15, 1963 — August 26, 2020

 

 

Rodney Wayne Morgan, age 57, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.  Born in Burnsville, North Carolina on July 15, 1963, he was the son of Harley and Dorothy McPeters Morgan of Marion. 

 

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Douglas Morgan; and his dear niece, Zion Rose Sevcik. 

 

A member of West Marion Baptist Church, Rodney was a creative, resourceful and an artistic man who was a free thinker. He was known for his loyalty, kind heart, and his passion for music and working in his yard. 

 

He is survived by his parents; his wife, Tammy Morgan; son, Joshua Morgan; daughter, Hannah Morgan; sister, Missy McIntosh (Eric); and a pet raccoon whom he rescued at birth, Rockette.

 

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory in Marion. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the family will be wearing facemasks, and request those attending to do the same.
