Robert Conley Saulmon, 69, of Marion, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at home with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Morganton, North Carolina on May 3, 1955 to the late Robert Alexander Saulmon and Betty Jean Orders Davis.
Bob was a dedicated and hard-working individual, known for his extensive career primarily in the furniture industry. He possessed a profound love for the outdoors, and he had a passion for playing with his grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will be treasured by his family for years to come. His beloved canine companion, Rocky, was a constant source of joy and companionship in his life. Robert's dedication to his work and family is a testament to the legacy he leaves behind. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic and the love he shared with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Davis and Steve Saulmon.
He is survived by his special caregiver, Kathy Saulmon; two daughters, Kayla Saulmon and Samantha Adams, both of Marion; two grandchildren, Christopher Guffey, Jr. and Luke Adams; sister, Ann Branch, of Marion; brother, Larry Saulmon (Debby), of Morganton; a number of nieces and nephews; and his beloved canine companion, Rocky.
The family will hold a memorial service on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Nealsville Church of God with Rev. Doug Carpenter officiating.
