Robert Wagner Jarvis

Robert Wagner Jarvis Sr., 89, of Spruce Pine, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at the NC State Veterans Home.

He was born in Camden, New Jersey on August 11, 1935 to the late Frederick Jarvis and Florence Hahn Jarvis.

Robert was a proud US Army Veteran. He was formerly the owner/operator of Jarvis Electric Motor shop in Camden N.J. and later was the operational director at Dixie Electric in Charlotte for 17 years. He enjoyed traveling out west and was known for always working on projects around the house.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Whiley Jarvis; and one brother Ronald Jarvis.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Manning; five children, Robert Jarvis Jr., Cindy McClellan, John Jarvis, Steven Jarvis, and Mark Jarvis; three stepchildren, Susan Wainwright, David Bertram, and Paul Bertram; and one brother, Tom Jarvis; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

 In keeping to his wishes, there will be no services held.
