Robert "Bob" Bright

Mr. Robert “Bob” Bright, age 81, passed away Wednesday May 4, 2016 at his residence. A native of McDowell County he was born on June 10, 1934 to the late Ed and Minnie Morgan Bright. Bob was a graduate of Marion High School class of 1952. Living most of his adult life in Melvindale, Michigan, Bob more recently spent most of his summers living in his home town of Marion, North Carolina.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of almost 60 years Martha Jean Bright; Linda Young, daughter and husband James, Gary Bright, son and Sharon Mayle, daughter and husband Kenneth; seven grandchildren, Justin Young, and wife Rachel, Nicole Young, Michelle Bright, Kristin Bright, Michael Mayle, and wife Stephanie, Kyle Mayle, and wife Haley, and Dylan Mayle; three great grandchildren, Brayden, Tyson, and Vivienne; siblings, Betty Holtzclaw, Ray Bright, and wife Sarah, and Jimmy Bright, and wife Wendy; sisters-in-law, Brenda Munoz, and husband Tom and Jane DeVore, and husband Leonard.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Allen Park Chapel of Martenson Funeral Home in Allen Park, Michigan. Interment will be held at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton, Michigan.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
