Revonda Diane Cook Johnson

On the evening of Sunday, October 10, 2021, Revonda Diane Cook Johnson passed away at Mission Hospital-McDowell. A native of McDowell County, Revonda was born on June 2, 1964 to Christine Henson Buchanan and the late William Ray Cook.

In addition to her father is preceded in death by a daughter, Erica Hope Walker and a brother, Randall Dean Cook.

Revonda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed singing and visiting with the elderly and loved to tend to her flowers. She was a devoted caregiver, not only for her family but for everyone else she knew. Revonda will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Randy L. Johnson; parents, Christine Buchanan (Emmett); three children, Timothy Ogle, Shane Huffman (Dennis) and Beth Johnson. Also surviving Revonda are one sister, Robin Baker (Stanley); brother, Michael Ray Cook; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Reverends Paul Grindstaff and Ernie Cable officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery.
