Rev. Roger Gallion, age 70, of Nebo, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on the evening of Monday, July 9, 2018 at his residence while under the care of CarePartners Hospice & Palliative Care-McDowell.  His loving family was by his side.  Born in McDowell County, North Carolina on May 1, 1948, he was the son of the late Schenck and Elender Lewis Gallion.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his adopted son, Michael Flack; one sister, Sally McMahan; one niece, Dawn Webb; and sister-in-law, Barbara Gallion.

Roger was the pastor of Morning Star Free Will Baptist Church where he was so loved by his members and he loved each one of them.  He was the kindest hearted and giving man to everyone and anyone.  He loved and cherished his family so much and enjoyed ministering to children and to hear a child’s laughter filled him with joy.  Most of all, Roger loved the Lord and sharing his word to all.  He will be greatly missed by all.
