Regina Rae Benner Joice, 69, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
A native of Portland, Maine, Regina was born June 04, 1952 to the late Reginald Raymond Benner and Virginia Mae Soper Benner. Her son, Wayne Edward Cupp, Jr., also preceded her in death.
Regina worked on various airlines as a welder, for which she held several certifications. Regina and her husband, Dwight, were married at the Thermal City Gold Mine, and they continued to make their home there for part of every year. Regina loved her grandchildren tremendously. A big animal lover, Regina enjoyed watching wildlife, and she owned all kinds of animals. She also loved quilting and was an awesome Gramie!
She is survived by her husband, William “Dwight” Joice; three grandchildren, Danylle Edwards (AJ), Jessie Cupp (Sam Samatmanivong), and Jamie Cupp (Chris Hernandez); seven great grandchildren; four siblings, Janice DeMille (William), David Benner, Larry Benner, and Peter Jenkins; and numerous extended family members.
In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
