Rebekah Katlynn Boyd

Rebekah Katlynn Boyd, 23, of Marion passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Duke University Hospital in Durham.

Rebekah was born on June 25, 1999 in McDowell County to David Russell Boyd and Amanda Sue Boyd. She was a graduate of McDowell High School and passed all of the requirements to be an EMT which she had planned to do but was unable to serve because of her illness. She was a member of the Woodlawn/Sevier Fire Department until her illness prevented her from doing so. Rebekah also loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing and camping. In her final days Rebekah decided to become an organ donor and help save lives. She loved her family and her dog Copper. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Along with her parents she is survived by her sister Callie Hollifield; her aunts, Leslie Davis Ray (Timmy) and Sally Davis along with an uncle, Bryan Hughes.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with the Revs. Junior Bailey, Lee Cope and Jacob Stover. Burial will follow at Snow Hill Cemetery.
