Rebecca Christine Seay

Rebecca Christine Seay, age 80, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018 at Autumn Care of Marion. A native of McDowell County, Christine was born on July 9, 1938 to the late William and Effie Mae Grant Bailey.

She is preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Christine enjoyed playing piano for many years. She played for many quartets including the Fabulous Five. She retired from Galey and Lord following more than forty years of service. Christine loved to travel and attend gospel singings.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of sixty-three years, Arnie Seay; three children, Becky Russell (Johnny), Fred Seay (Sherry) and Myra Warf (Bill). Also surviving Christine are five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a special lifetime friend, Brenda Davis.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. with Reverends Matt McDaniel, Charlie Gardin and Dr. Tom Walker officiating. Interment will take place following the service at McDowell Memorial Park.
