Rebecca Mullins

On Wednesday, November 25, 2020, while surrounded by loved ones, Rebecca Grant Mullins, age 52, of Morganton, North Carolina, passed away at Burke Hospice & Palliative Care in Valdese, North Carolina.  The daughter of Coleen Grant of Marion and the late Charles Furman Grant, she was born in Valdese on December 29, 1967.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Sandra Denise Grant; paternal grandparents, Straley and Gladys Grant; and maternal grandparents, Sewell and Eunice Brown.

Having had an interest in drawing and coloring, Rebecca had a zest for life and was always smiling.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, being around animals and shopping. 

In addition to her mother, Coleen and Alan Barts (Special Friend), Rebecca is survived by her husband, Richard Mullins; one sister, Michelle Grant Mills and her husband, Chris; one niece, Megan Mills; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Davistown Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Old Fort with Pastor Keith Jamison officiating.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Shriners Hospitals for Children for the extraordinary care that they had provided Rebecca in her early years; and to Burke Hospice & Palliative Care for the comfort they provided Rebecca and her family during the end of her journey.
