Randy J. Holtsclaw

Randy J. Holtsclaw, 63, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, April 02, 2017 at his residence.  A native of Avery County, North Carolina, born June 17, 1953, Randy, who was an avid golf player, had worked in the nursery industry from an early age. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Holtsclaw Shook; one sister, Patricia Bailey; and one brother, Donnie Shook.

Randy is survived by one son, Randall Holtsclaw; and two grandchildren, Trinton Holtsclaw and Star Holtsclaw.

A celebration of Mr. Holtsclaw’s life will be on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Blevins Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Avery County.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the church.
