Randal Lee Lowery

Randal Lee Lowery, 77, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at his home.

He was born March 26, 1946 to the late Lee Arthur Lowery and Kathryn Stevens Lowery.

Randy was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army who had served in Vietnam. Following his military service, he worked in construction as a welder. He was a talented woodworker and made things of all sizes. He was very proud of his creations and would never fail to share with others. Randy will be remembered for his overalls and ever-present beard. He never met a stranger and will be missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Lowery; brother, Jack Lowery; and sister, Linda Carol Buchanan.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Lowery (Brandy); brothers, Denny Lowery and Ronald Lowery; and granddaughter, Carolina Ross.

Military honors will be rendered at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
