Ralph Benjamin Sisk

Ralph Benjamin Sisk, age 95, of Nebo, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side.  A McDowell County native, he was born to the late Ben and Pearl Sisk on February 3, 1922.

He was a long-time member of Nebo First Baptist Church.  Ralph was first and foremost, a Christian, who loved the Lord, his family, and his church family.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Swafford Sisk.

Mr. Sisk leaves behind to cherish his memory, five daughters, Dianne Bennick of Nebo, Kay Simmons of Old Fort, Sherry Jones (Johnny) of Morganton, Patti Wood (Jack) of Marion and Debbie Smith of Nebo; ten grandchildren, Missy Duckworth, Todd Bennick, Jonathan Bennick, Stephanie Lytle, Scott Simmons, Chris Jones, Tracy Jones, Daniel Smith, Darren Smith and Andy Wood; sixteen great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Nebo First Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Worley and Rev. Jeff Hall officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at the church.

Family wishes to thank Hospice of Rutherford County, Ralph’s caregivers for the past years, and a special thank you to Luanne Walker, RN for the exceptional care that they provided to Ralph and his family during his time of illness.
