Phyllis Jane Searcy Warren, 73, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.
She was born on May 14, 1948 in Rutherford County to the late Daniel and Janie Hutchins Searcy. She was preceded in death by siblings, Bryson Searcy, Edgar Searcy, Alvin Searcy, Jerry Searcy and Carolyn Searcy Moore; and her former spouse, Glenn Warren.
A member of Gethsemane Free Will Baptist Church, Phyllis was a great singer who loved listening to gospel music. She was a loving mother, and she enjoyed making precious memories with her family. Phyllis retired from Walmart following 21 years of service.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Warren Allison (Mike) and Glenda Warren, both of Old Fort; one son, Bobby Warren of Old Fort; one brother, Carl Searcy (Vickie); and one sister, Vivian Wright (Myron). Phyllis is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one on the way; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Reverends Jesse Sours, Ralph Reep and Neil Murray officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
