Paul Lee Norton

Paul Lee Norton, 90, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at The McDowell Hospital.

Paul was born in McDowell County, December 16, 1931 to the late James Garland Norton and Mary Magdalene Radford Norton. He was a member of New Horizon Fellowship. Paul enjoyed working, which he did into his mid- eighties. He also enjoyed working in his yard which was his passion. He adored his family, especially his wife Edna. Paul was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Brooks Norton; his son, Jerry Wayne Norton; a grandson, Donald Seth Norton; and a granddaughter, Lori Sasser.

Paul is survived by three children, Paul Donald Norton, Dennis Keith Norton (Terri) and Kathy Norton Laxson (Jim); a brother, Charlie Norton; four grandchildren, Erica Huffman, Chris Norton, Michael Norton and John Paul Norton along with twelve great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at New Horizon Fellowship with the Rev. Steve Bugenhagen officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to New Horizon Fellowship at 5878 Hwy 221 N., Marion, NC 28752.
