Paul E. Cruise

Paul E. Cruise, age 75, of Nebo, North Carolina, while surrounded by his family, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.  The son of the late Emmette and Lessie Howell Cruise, he was born on March 11, 1943 in Mobile, Alabama. 

He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Watson Cruise who passed away on April 16, 2015.

Paul was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a longtime member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Nebo.  He was the owner/operator of Paul Cruise Electric and was the owner of South Creek Mobile Home Park.  In his spare time, he enjoyed searching for bargins and trading up and tinkering with things.  Most of all, Paul enjoyed spending time with his family.  He will be forever missed by all he knew him.

He is survived by two sons, Mark Cruise and David Cruise; one daughter, Mary Ann Robertson; one sister, Hazel Blocker; two brothers, David Cruise and Jerry Cruise; and five grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Beam Funeral Service.  A funeral service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Harmony Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Freddie Williams officiating.  Interment, with military honors provided by the United States Navy, will follow in the church cemetery.
