Patty Sue Hager

Patty Sue Barnett Hager, age 62, of Nebo, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville.  The daughter of the late Harry and Ruby Hagerman Barnett, Patty was born in Boone County, West Virginia on February 03, 1958.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Barnett.

A longtime member of Dysartsville Church of Christ, Patty enjoyed sitting outside, looking at the sky and watching the clouds go by.  An avid Bigfoot believer, Patty’s family was her world, especially her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her husband of 42 years, David Ray Hager; one son, David Ray Hager, Jr. (Camber); one daughter, Rachel Gross (Michael Gross, Jr.); five siblings, Sandra Aldridge, Sadie Keyes, Billy Ray Barnett, Julie Hill and Shirley Barnett.  Patty is also survived by six wonderful grandchildren, Noah Gross, Thomas Gross, Nora Hager, Rylan Hager, Ruby Hager and Eliz Hager. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 12 o’clock noon on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Dysartsville Church of Christ with Brother Bill Stevens officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
