Patricia "Patty" Swafford Warren

Patricia “Patty” Swafford Warren, 59, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

A native of McDowell County, she was born on February 23, 1962 to the late Ruben Swafford and Mae Stamey Swafford.

Patty truly never met a stranger. She knew everybody and had friends everywhere. She was always a caregiver both to her family and patients as she worked as a CNA since 1982, serving mainly at Deer Park. She loved her family greatly and enjoyed baking and cooking for them. Patty liked tending to her flowers and visiting thrift shops and yard sales.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Alicia Warren; and a brother, David Swafford.

She is survived by three children, Tonya McKinney (Bud), Greg Warren (Tina), and Alex Warren (Kayla); eight grandchildren, Cierra (Jason), Hunter (Savannah), Jaden, Riley, Raegan, Trystan, Vaeh, and Peyton; one great grandchild, Maddie; two sisters, Louise Rose (John) and Nancy Bolden (Michael); and a number of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Terry Cheek officiating. Interment will follow at Nebo United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
