Patricia Marie Queen Cline, 84, of Marion, passed away on the morning of Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Mission Hospital McDowell.
Patricia was born on May 14, 1938 to the late Arthur Earl Queen and the late Annie Pauline Cooper Queen. She was a very active member of Hankins Baptist Church, where she served as church clerk, Sunday School teacher and worked with the children. She was a Gideon Auxiliary member for over forty years. She enjoyed Bluegrass music and traveling the world. Patricia was known as a wonderful cook and made the very best strawberry jelly. She was the happiest person ever. Patricia was a loving wife, mother and Maw Maw. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceding her in death including her parents are siblings, Shirley Wright, Harriet “Louise” Moose, and James “Jim” Earl Queen.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of sixty-two years, Larry F. Cline; her three children, Lora Marie Loftin (Bill), Mark Ritcherson Cline (Mary Jane) and Julia Marie Young (Jon); eight grandchildren, Patrick Loftin, Adam Loftin, Luke Loftin, Brittney Otevrel, Jessica Arnold, Ryan Arnold, Sydney Young and Kenna Young; four great grandchildren, Colton Loftin, Carson Loftin, Oliver Otevrel, Quentin Otevrel along with a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Hankins Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Danny White Officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place following the service at McDowell Memorial Park.
