In the early morning hours of Friday, February 26, 2021, Mrs. Pat Marsh Piercy, of Old Fort, North Carolina, peacefully departed this life while at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
A native of McDowell County, she was born on September 01, 1951 to the late Burgess (Tub) Marsh and Margie Ford Marsh.
Pat worked for many years as a teacher assistant in the McDowell County School system, where she met many people and positively impacted the lives of countless students. She was a charter member of Grace Community Church where she served in various capacities, including Bible study leader, women’s ministry, and as a mentor and leader for many youth activities. Pat was very involved in her beloved community of Old Fort. She helped organize parades and oversaw annual Fourth of July Celebrations. She was also active in the Old Fort Heritage Foundation. She loved her family, her church family, and her community, but above all, she loved her Lord. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
