Patricia Ann Oates Davenport

 Patricia “Pat” Ann Oates Davenport, 75, of Marion, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Mission McDowell Hospital.

 Pat was born in Buncombe County, NC, on May 18, 1949, to the late Lazelle Barber Oates, Sr. and Earcle Mae Lewis Oates. She was married to her husband of 56 years, Guy Lee Davenport. Pat was a member of New Horizon Baptist Fellowship in Marion, and for many years, she was a teller at Fifth & Third Bank. Pat enjoyed bowling and loved to travel. She loved going on trips to the mountains and the beach. Pat was a loving and devoted wife who loved the Lord and loved her family. She will always be remembered, fondly.

 In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a brother, Lazelle Barber Oates, Jr.

 Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Guy Davenport; a brother, John “Pody” Oates; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

 A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Rev. Steve Bugenhagen will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
