Patricia Ann Abernathy

Patricia Ann Abernathy, age 68, of Marion, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 at Mission Hospital-McDowell.  The daughter of the late Fred Abernathy and Katie Sisk, she was born in Gastonia, North Carolina on August 15, 1951.

A loving mother, grandmother and sister, Patricia enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandkids.  She will be missed by all that knew her.

Left to cherish her memories are two sons, Marty Belton (Karen) and Brian Belton; and one daughter, Elizabeth Tenney; one sister, Linda Goforth (Marvin); one brother, Harry Abernathy (Millie); fifteen grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 1st, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Marc Abernathy and Rev. Ricky Bishop officiating.  Interment will follow at Drucilla Independent Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
