Paris "Tater" Shelton

Paris “Tater” Shelton, age 32, of Marion, passed away Monday, June 28, 2016. Tater was a native of McDowell County, born on July 30, 1983, and was the son of the late Paris Dillard Shelton and Teresa Presnell Goode.  

Tater enjoyed older model cars especially Camaros. He loved computers and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, Tater is survived by a brother, Daniel Honeycutt, and a sister Amanda Shelton; grand-mother Jacqueline Presnell; and nieces and nephews, Nehemiah Honeycutt, Nevaeh Honeycutt, Bentley Goforth, Ryleigh Causby, and Harper Bailey.

A funeral service to honor the life of Tater will take place on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church with Reverend Don Mitchell officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church. Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.
