Pamela Gayle Bowman Blanton

Pamela Gayle Bowman Blanton, 77, of Marion, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at Memorial Mission Hospital.

She was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on August 14, 1946 to the late Norman Bowman and Janie Elizabeth Sharpe Bowman.

Pam was a teacher and retired from Nebo Elementary School. She impacted the lives of many students during her 39 years of service. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed playing and listening to gospel music.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Roy Gilford Blanton; one son, Chad Gilford Blanton; sister, Debbie Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.
