Ona Belle Good

Ona Belle Wilson Good, age 84, of the Woodlawn Community, departed to be with the Lord on Monday, May 6, 2019 while surrounded by her loved ones at her residence.  Born in Yancey County, North Carolina on October 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Florence Robinson Wilson. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Guy E. Good; and three brothers, Rev. J.C. Wilson, Ray Wilson and Rev. Lonnie Wilson.

A member of Faith Baptist Church, Ona, for 42 years, was employed at American Thread.  Following retirement, she worked 10 years at Lowe's where she enjoyed meeting and assisting customers.  A wonderful cook and homemaker, she loved to garden and croquet. 

Ona is survived by three brothers, Robert L. Wilson, Joseph D. Wilson and Roy S. Wilson; one sister, Lila Wilson Melvin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 14082 US 221 North, Marion NC 28752, with Rev. Gary Greene officiating.  Interment will follow at Turkey Cove Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., one and half hour prior to the service, at the church.
