Oliver Marcus Smith

Oliver Marcus Smith, age 57, loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, passed away on Friday, March 06, 2020 at his residence in Marion.  Born in Palm Beach, Florida on May 02, 1962, he was the son of J.B. and Leona Conner Smith of Nebo. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Lynn Smith; and granddaughter, Ryleigh Quinn, who both passed away on January 21, 2020.

Oliver enjoyed fishing, and always liked to stay busy.  A kind hearted man, he would take pride in helping others, but it really done his heart good spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

He is survived by, in addition to his parents, his loving wife of 31 years, Lisa Smith; two sons, Christopher Smith (Mianna) and Nicholas Smith; two grandchildren, Olivia Henrietta Marie Smith and Kahlan Lashbrook; five siblings, James Edward Smith (Cindy), David Eugene Smith (Betty), Patricia Owenby (Jimmy), Linda Fowler (Steve) and Charles “Chuck” Smith (Kim); and a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Oliver’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Larry Gentry officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
