Nora Jean McPeters

Nora Jean McPeters, age 71, of Marion, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 14, 2017 while at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.  The daughter of the late Mary White, she was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on November 14, 1945.

A wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and sister, Nora enjoyed being around her cats, but most of all, her family.  In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by one son, Mark Revis; and one niece, Amber White.

Left to cherish her memories are one son, John Revis (Angella); three brothers, Mike White (Cheryl), Scott White and Von White; and three loving granddaughters, Melissa Gohn (Morgan), Amanda Gulley (Eric) and Jordan Corl (Tim).  She is also survived by her aunt and uncle, Jenny and Harry Kidd; and a number of nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Harry Kidd officiating.  Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
