Nicolas Montes

On the night of Sunday, September 1, 2019, Nicolas Montes, age 71, of Nebo, North Carolina passed away unexpectedly. A native of Tamaulipas, Mexico, Nicolas was born on September 10, 1947 to the late Asencion Montes and Catalina Meza.

Nicolas was known as a hard-working man who loved spending time with his wife and family. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and telling jokes. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Dora Izaquirre; three children, Anna Montes, Marco A. Montes and Cathy Montes and one brother, Guillermo Montes. Also surviving Nicolas is eleven grandchildren, Joseph, Rey, Tyrell, Shantal, Tatiana, Mark, Leslie, Michael, Dora, Jesse and Tayla and two great-grandchildren, Kyler and Alicia.

A service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Marion with Reverend Salas Urbina officiating.
