Nelda Gwen Rathbone

Nelda Gwen Rathbone, age 45, of Marion, North Carolina passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. A native of McDowell County, Nelda was born on June 2, 1972 to the late Reed and Mary Jane Wall Rathbone.

Nelda was known to be a caring, loving and forgiving person. Often hilarious, she faced miles of trials with smiles. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She loved all of her pets but she was especially fond of her dog Rudy. 

Left to cherish her memories are her fiancé, Tim Greene and his mother Susie; one son, Paul Verheeck; one sister, Margaret Rathbone and one brother, Colin Rathbone.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Beam Funeral Service.
