Ned Harris

Mr. Ned Harris, age 69, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away at John F. Keever, Jr. CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville on Saturday, May 18, 2019, following a brief illness.  He was born in Buncombe County, North Carolina on June 22, 1949.

An avid Dale Earnhardt fan, Ned, in his spare time, enjoyed working in his garden.  Following many years, he had retired as a manger from BI-LO’s in Black Mountain; and was a veteran of the United States Army. 

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Harris; three step-children, Matthew Moore, Melissa Hoskins (James) and Zach Moore; and four step-grandchildren, Emma Moore, Hunter Hoskins, Adelyn Hoskins and Mason Hoskins.

Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Ned are invited to Beam Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019, to to reminisce and support each other.
