Nathaniel Hands Gardin

Nathaniel Hands Gardin, 57, of Asheville, North Carolina, passed away on May 31, 2017 while at The Oaks of Sweeten Creek in Asheivle following a period of declining health. Nathan was born on August 30, 1959, in Marion, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Brownlow and Jessie Gardin and two brothers, James Gordon Young and Carl Edward Young.

He leaves behind two sons, Nathaniel H. Gardin II and Fabian Gardin; one daughter, Tessa Jean Gardin; two granddaughters, Charlee Rose Gipson and Alora Diggs; and one grandson, Jesse David Eugene Gardin all of Houston, Texas; one sister, Beatrice Young; and one brother, Robert Lee Young, Sr. (Patricia), both of Marion, North Carolina.

A memorial service for Nathaniel will be held at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory in Marion, North Carolina at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 01, 2017.  The Reverend Michael Smith of Mount Moriah Baptist Church will be officiating the service.

A private burial will be held at McDowell Cemetery.
