Nancy Gail Laidley

Nancy Gail Laidley, 62, of Old Fort, passed away on November 21, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City. She was born on March 20, 1956 and was the daughter of the late Edward Copeland Laidley and Marjorie Sumner Laidley.

Nancy was a beacon to her family and many friends. She was always spreading her humor, and was loved by all that knew her.

Nancy is survived by her children, Erin Boyd and Johnathan Boyd; six grandchildren; sister, Cathie Laidley; and brother, Michael Laidley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, John Frank and Bessie May Sumner.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, 224 Chimney Rock Road, Rutherfordton, North Carolina.  

A celebration of Nancy's life will be held in Marion at a later date and will be announced once it has been finalized.
