Nancy Blalock Collins

Nancy Blalock Collins, 92, of Salisbury, NC passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 at her residence.

Nancy was born November 29, 1932 in McDowell County, NC to the late Kathleen Jackson Blalock and Joseph Wesley Blalock. She was a graduate of Glenwood High School where she played basketball. She worked at the Corner Craft Shop for 20 years before retiring.

Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church of Marion and actively attended Stallings Memorial Baptist Church as her health permitted. She was an avid Carolina Tarheel fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ernest “Sam” Collins, Jr on May 4, 2011; daughter, Cindy Collins Barlowe; sister, Mary Jo Clontz and brothers Charles Eugene Blalock and George Blalock.

Surviving her is her son, Samuel E. “Sammy” Collins (Amie) of Salisbury, NC; daughters, Teresa Anglin (Jim) of Nebo, NC; Bunni Mills (Warren) of Nebo, NC; Anita Collins of Salisbury, NC; Karen Huling (Chris) of Hickory, NC and Sharen Burrell (Bo) of Salisbury, NC; 16 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

On Sunday, April 27, the family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. at Stallings Memorial Baptist Church in Salisbury, NC with the funeral service will following at 4 p.m.

On Monday, April 28, the family will receive friends from 12-2 PM at Beam Funeral Service in Marion, NC with a graveside service following at 2 p.m. at McDowell Memorial Park.
