On the morning of Tuesday, January 21, 2020, Mr. Pearl Hoskins, age 91 of Nebo, departed to be with the Lord at his residence. The son of the late Boone Hoskins and Cordellia Cornett Hoskins, he was born in Hyden Kentucky on July 11, 1928.
“Pappy” as he was known, was a loving husband for fifty-seven years, and a hard worker and provider for his family. Pappy was an excellent role model for his family. More than anything else, he loved his family dearly. Pappy enjoyed gardening, fishing and loved to play the dulcimer. He was a man of faith and leaves behind a legacy that he is with his Lord. Pappy always considered himself a “rich” man because of his large and love filled family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mabel Marie Hoskins.
Left to cherish his precious memory are his five children, John Hoskins (Linda), Connie Coffman (Clay), Mike Hoskins (Gina), Jeff Hoskins (Debbie), and Mark Hoskins. He also leaves behind fourteen grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Pearl’s life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service, with the Reverend Terry Roach officiating. Interment will follow the service at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
