Minnie Lee Stone

Minnie Lee Stone, loving and devoted mother and grandmother, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at her residence in Charles Town, West Virginia at the age of 89. Born in McDowell County, North Carolina on July 16, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Ogle and Mary Duncan Ogle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Wilson Stone; and one step son, Floyd D. Stone.

For over 40 years, Minnie worked in textile mills. Always looking to help others,she loved to cook and spending quality time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, Ervin Ruff and his wife Mary of Marion, Ronnie Ruff of Marion; and Brett Stone and his wife Kathleen of Charles Town, West Virginia; and one step son, Bruce A. Stone and his wife Betty of Abington, Virginia; seventeen grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 05, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion, with Rev. Jim Porter officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
