Mildred Ann Goforth

Mildred Ann Goforth, 84, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Rose Hill Retirement Community with her family by her side.

A native of McDowell County, she was born on July 10, 1936 to the late Thomas W. Goforth and Eva Lawing Goforth.

She was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church, and she thoroughly enjoyed working in her garden and tending to her flowers. In her later years, she enjoyed her stay at Rose Hill and the company of the many friends she made there.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Louise Goforth Wilson and a brother, Doyle Goforth.

Those left to cherish her memory are her niece, Marie Dillingham and husband Clyde of Asheville, and a sister-in-law, Edith Goforth of Marion.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service at 3:00 o’clock p.m. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
