Mildred Causby

On the morning of Friday, November 23, 2018, Mildred Freeman Causby, age 96, went home to be with the Lord. A native of Rutherford County, Mildred was born on November 9, 1922 to the late Fred and Stella Beachboard Freeman.
 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jay Horace Causby; two sons, Curtis and Allen Causby; three granddaughters, Sharon Seagle, Tasha Causby and Treva Suttles; one grandson, Justin Causby; one granddaughter, Sydney Costner; two sisters, Myrtle Berryhill and Mary J. Greene and a special friend Jay Harwood.
 

Mildred was a charter member of New Horizon Baptist Fellowship who loved the Lord and was known as a prayer warrior. She enjoyed working her whole life and was fiercely loyal to her family which was her life. Mildred never met a stranger and she will be missed by all that knew her.
 

Left to cherish her memories are four children, Jerry Cosby (Sandra), Loretta Causby, Peggy Poplin (Don) and Richard Causby (Denise); fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren. Also surviving Mildred are special friends, Jackie Camby, Tracy Seagle and a special nephew, Dean Cosby.
 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will take place on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at New Horizon Baptist Fellowship with Reverends Steven Bugenhagen, Phillip Murdock and Mr. Josh Dobson officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Laurel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
