Michael Leroy Stamey

Michael Leroy Stamey, 64, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024.

He was born in Marion on August 31, 1960 to the late Robert Ellis Stamey and Maggie Lou Mason Stamey. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Eugene Stamey. Mike was an excellent carpenter and was the former owner of Stamey’s Wood Floor and Finishing in Morganton. He enjoyed hunting, and he was an avid NASCAR fan. He will be missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Nikki Hayworth (Adam); two grandchildren, Lila and Carter; two brothers, Bobby Stamey and David Stamey; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
