Michael Gene McHenry

Michael Gene McHenry, 35, of Ellenboro, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at his residence.

A native of Michigan, Michael was born on September 22, 1987 to Marilyn Royal Francisco and the late Edward Hyzer McHenry.

Michael was formerly employed as a shift leader at Taco Bell in Forest City. He honorably served in the United States Air Force. He will be remembered as a happy and laid-back guy who enjoyed computers. Above all, his family meant the world to him. He was the best dad anyone could ask for to his two children.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his companion of over 16 years, Shannon Shuemaker; two children, Ryan McHenry and Brenna McHenry; two brothers, Matthew McHenry and Mitchell McHenry; father-in-law, George Shuemaker; brother-in-law, Greg Shuemaker; and best friends, Nate Rhodes, Tim Faison, and Tabitha Faison.
