Michael Wayne Lawing

Mr. Michael Lawing, age 62 of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 8, 2018. Born on August 21, 1956, in Burlington, Vermont, he was the son of Jessie Garland Lawing, and the late John Brisco Lawing.

Michael, who was an avid Duke fan, was known for his loving personality as he never met a stranger. He was a loving husband, son and brother, and also loved his bulldogs Maggie, Jasmine & Roxie.

Along with his father, his brother Brisco Lawing II. also preceded him in death.

In addition to his mother, Michael leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Renee Wiggins Lawing, of the home; a sister, Renata Crawley (Greg), of Marion, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony Grove Baptist Church, 4856 Harmony Grove Road, Nebo, North Carolina 28761. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
